Secrets Revealed

“I think that if ever a mortal heard the voice of God
it would be in a garden at the cool of the day”
A Garden of Peace

In our “Garden of Secrets” we welcome and invite you to see for yourself the beauty and tranquillity that a garden can give. It is in the tranquilly of our garden that we would like to share with you in a opportunity to be part of a major fundraiser for the Guide Dogs of NSW/ACT during our upcoming open garden weekends.

There will be much activity in the month of September and we invite everyone to come and see a garden like no other, a touch of Tuscany! Colonnades, intricate hand carved stone sculptures, refreshing sounds of water features and flower displays that match the colour of the rainbow. The Garden of Secrets has been in the making for over thirty years and it has evolved into a true garden of beauty. The Leone Family have in the past shared their garden with the public and raised over $180,000 for The Spastic Centre of NSW to help children with cerebral palsy.

Now in 2008 they would like to share it again but now for a very personal and special reason. A memorial Garden created in memory for Samuel, Paul Leones Son who passed away last year. Samuels love of the dogs and the outdoors inspired the Leone family now to raise much needed funds for the Guide Dogs of NSW/ACT. The memorial garden has now become a place of much reflection, beauty and healing. The memorial garden has taken 9 months to complete. Channel 7 “Better Homes and Garden” have filmed its progression and will air the segment on Saturday 13th September at 6.30pm for all to see the wonderful design that was created by Dean Herald, Australia’s first 2006 winner of the Chelsea Garden Show – England.

With much to see and do for everyone! Enjoy a sausage sizzle, drinks, tea and coffee, donuts even a glass of wine or beer. Face painting and rides for the children. Wonderful raffle prizes. You will get to pat the many Guide Dogs and meet their trainers as you walk through the garden. With 12,000 anticipated through the gates come and share with us in helping raise money for the Guide Dogs of NSW/ACT in ‘The Garden of Secrets”. The Leone Family
